Job Description

The Role:

As a Sustainability Associate, you will be a member of a team of four individuals within Canopius' central Sustainability team. You will support the team across its full range of activities. Within the team, you will have a specific focus on data - you will work closely with relevant third-party vendors as well as internal teams to source, record, and analyze data needed by the team.

Key Responsibilities: Working with relevant internal stakeholders to build a central repository of all sustainability-related metrics across Canopius (and being the main go-to person for requests related to these metrics) Acting as the main point of contact for third-party data and technology vendors Remaining up-to-date on data/product offerings relating to sustainability and identifying where a good fit with the team's needs exists Acting as the team's main liaison with Data and IT functions Support the team on disclosure and reporting work, including the creation of presentations and regular internal updates to stakeholders Support the team on ad-hoc tasks and projects which could be related to governance, investments, operations, or employee engagement

Skills and Experience: A passion for sustainability and energy transition essential (Re)insurance knowledge and experience essential Familiarity with data manipulation and analysis essential (e.g. proficiency in Excel, experience of database management, ability to combine and cross-reference different data sets, ability to support the build of reporting dashboards, simple programming skills welcome) Collaborative working style and ability to be flexible in supporting team requirements
