ALS Global Sustainability Team

as a

Sustainability Assurance Specialist , where you’ll be instrumental in supporting the company’s sustainability objectives and alignment with global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) standards. In this role, you will work closely with Corporate Sustainability and Functional Support teams, and business units to implement corporate programs and elevate sustainability practices across ALS. Key Responsibilities include: Support and execute ALS Group energy and greenhouse gas (GHG) reporting. Monitor, collate, and report on key sustainability metrics, contributing to the Group Annual Sustainability Report. Validate data and develop disclosures for internal and external reporting on environmental, sustainability, and ESG performance (e.g., CSRD, ASRS, GRI, CDP). Ensure accuracy, integrity, and completeness of data in line with relevant standards and frameworks, including the GHG Protocol for scopes 1, 2, and 3 emissions. Engage with stakeholders, including customers, to understand their GHG data management needs and provide guidance. Participate in external audits of ALS sustainability disclosures. Work alongside experts committed to corporate governance, environmental stewardship, and social responsibility. Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to foster a strong sustainability culture. Support ALS business streams in engaging with government regulatory agencies. Advise internal teams on evolving carbon and ESG reporting practices and regulatory requirements. Maintain and support corporate sustainability programs, ensuring alignment with strategic objectives. Provide oversight for audits, training, and awareness initiatives to enhance sustainability performance. Ensure compliance with ALS’s quality procedures, corporate governance, and social responsibility standards. Essential Skills, Experience & Knowledge: Education: Tertiary qualifications in Sustainability, HSE, Science, or a related discipline, or extensive practical experience. Experience: Minimum of 5 years in Sustainability, HSE, Compliance, or a similar role. Knowledge: Proficient in sustainability and ESG reporting regulations, frameworks, and standards (e.g., GHG Protocol, ISSB/IFRS, GRI, CDP). Technical Skills: Experience in HSE audits, investigations, and technical report preparation. Communication: Strong English communication skills, both written and oral, with the ability to engage technical and non-technical stakeholders. Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to build relationships and collaborate across diverse teams. Attention to Detail: Strong analytical skills with a meticulous approach to data validation and reporting. Service Orientation: A proactive attitude toward supporting management and stakeholders.
