Our client are looking for a Sustainability Consultant with a background and expertise in finance and Private Equity. This role focuses on identifying, structuring, and closing investment deals in the energy transition sector. You’ll work on a variety of projects, including debt and equity investments in companies and projects related to industrial decarbonisation, new energy technologies, and the circular economy.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead or support investment deals throughout the entire lifecycle, from initial identification to final closing.
Collaborate with internal teams (e.g., Risk, Legal, Impact Assessment) to evaluate investment opportunities.
Conduct due diligence, financial modelling, and risk analysis.
Prepare investment proposals and mentor junior team members.
Negotiate and finalise legal documentation.
Build and maintain relationships with industry stakeholders.
Contribute to the development and execution of Net Zero initiatives.
About You:
Proven experience in investing/financing in the energy transition sector (e.g., renewable energy, energy efficiency, decarbonisation technologies).
Degree in Business, Finance, or a related field with relevant industry experience.
Professional qualifications (e.g., CA, CFA, ACT) and experience in investment banking or private equity.
Strong understanding of financial modelling, risk assessment, and deal structuring.
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
