Role: Data Quality Controller Department: Performance & Governance Location: Carbrook, Sheffield Salary: £36,630 - £41,907 Hours: 37 Contract Type: Temporary for 18 months We have an exciting opportunity for a Data Quality Controller to join the Performance & Governance Team on a temporary basis for 18 months. In this role you will embed and maintain the Data Quality framework and root cause analysis for managing data, collaborating across the organisation to effect right first-time solutions. Key responsibilities: Actively control the Government Data Quality Framework, providing Root Cause Analysis. Remediate through identifying fundamental problems and solving them at source. Work collaboratively with the organisation to identify, understand and manage data quality risk. Provide reporting and performance capabilities to the Data Quality Board so that all data quality actions are tracked and undertaken in a timely manner. Work with the National Data Office and the National Standards programme, establish data standards across data sets, identifying critical data elements and applying those in our solutions. Provide advice and propose solutions for long-term data quality improvements. Work with stakeholders to implement consistent data quality and business rules. Manage the implementation of technical solutions to support data quality improvements. Ensure the effective maintenance of data quality rules and preventative/detection controls. Monitor and ensure data quality KPI's are monitored, supported, and maintained. Drive quality improvements to support data maturity. Design policy, structures and procedural instructions and write detailed reports and presentations. Skills and experience: Educated to a degree or equivalent experience and competencies, extensive relevant senior experience. Experience and knowledge of Data Quality Management Frameworks and Data Quality standards. Experience or awareness of data quality and profiling tools such as Aperture and Power BI. Excellent communication skills, verbal, written and presentational. Proven ability to work collaboratively across teams. Experience of leading people and building teams. Skills and experience as documented in the role profile need to be evidenced in your application to be considered for interview.
