We are looking for a Director of Mathematics who is deeply committed to ensuring all students not only leave their PK-8 education on the mathematical skill and knowledge needed to pursue follow paths to the college and careers of their choosing, but also develop the problem solving and analytical skills needed to become impactful civic leaders in their communities. The Director of Mathematics role serves as a pathway toward broader school-wide leadership opportunities, including positions like Chief Academic Officer. WHAT YOU’LL DO As the Director of Mathematics you will: In collaboration with the CAO, design and develop the mathematics instructional program across Ingenuity Prep’s three academies, in grades ranging from PK to 8th grade. This includes helping to select and implement curriculum, assessments, and structures. Plan and develop training to build leader and teacher knowledge of mathematics content and pedagogical skills. In collaboration with the CAO and principals, action plan in response to data to ensure all students are moving toward Ingenuity Prep’s graduate aims. Lead intellectual preparation meetings for teachers including unit unpackings, lesson studies, and data analysis meetings. Manage curriculum partnerships and associated materials.
