As the System Accountant, you will be responsible for supporting the Finance Systems Manager in ensuring that the Finance System is robustly maintained and improving the delivery of high-quality data to colleagues throughout the Trust. This opportunity in a brand new role will develop your skills in both finance and IT. Working both within a close-knit team and on your own initiative, this exciting role will bring your finance and IT knowledge together and will need a strong communicator who can encourage the adoption of improving technology. Main duties of the job

An excellent understanding of Finance is a must as you will use this to develop and adapt existing reports, develop automations, manage the General Ledger, and provide access and training where relevant. You’ll need to be a confident communicator who manages their workload and time well as this role often has multiple deadlines to work within. Working for our organisation

Experience

Experience and knowledge of financial services within the NHS Involvement in financial exercises and submissions, with particular regard to quality of content Experience of using computerised financial systems NHS experience Ability to analyse, investigate, summarise and present complex data appropriately to a range of audiences Experience of writing complex crystal/software reports or any other compatible report writing tool Experience of managing interfaces between computer systems Experience of Integra and HealthRoster Experience of using Microsoft SQL Experience of using PowerBI An understanding of the information flows within the NHS Knowledge
