System Design Engineer

System Design Engineer focuses on work closely with r&d, engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to ensure systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with technical and commercial requirements.

What the role involves

• Work closely with R&D, engineering, manufacturing, and supplier teams to ensure systems are robust, efficient, and aligned with technical and commercial requirements.
• Develop control systems for ultra-low temperature refrigeration applications.
• Develop and implement PID and advanced control strategies for precise thermal regulation.
• Build, calibrate, and validate numerical models using MATLAB/Simulink or similar tools.
• Analysing system performance data and optimise control strategies and thermodynamic efficiency.
• Supporting integration of sensors, actuators, and refrigeration hardware into complete systems.

Skills and requirements

• Ideally have a degree in Control Systems Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or similar.
• Strong experience in control systems design and system dynamics.
• Experience with modelling and simulation tools such as MATLAB/Simulink.
• Knowledge of embedded or industrial control software development.
