We are hiring a Systems Development Engineer, responsible for supporting the Systems Development Manager/Supervisor to develop and maintain our Part Management Application (PMA) and Excel based solutions to meet business requirements for end-to-end change management reporting and workflow. Main Responsibilities:

Support the development of the PMA by: Business Analysis - Interacting with systems team management & other stakeholders to review, assess, analyse development ideas to agree way forward / solutions specification and agree timelines. Develop PMA solutions to satisfy complex business issues. Adapt PMA solutions to accommodate new processes or changes to existing processes. Adapt PMAs interaction with connected systems to accommodate changes or upgrades. Debug and resolve issues with existing PMA solutions. Review/cleanse existing solutions removing redundant code and looking for ways to optimise wherever possible. Follow agreed coding conventions, backup strategies and source control processes. Develop and enhance complex Excel based worksheets that interface to the PMA and are driven by complex VBA macros. Implement change control processes to ensure smooth and controlled change management. Key Skills and Qualifications:

5 years+ development experience C# ASP.Net Web Forms HTML/CSS JQuery SQL Server Excel VBA Knowledge of engineering BOMs, automotive industry is preferred Comfortable working with Front End, Business Layer and Data Layer Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify how one issue can impact on another and put in place the required intervention through support or from own knowledge base.
