In the Device OS group, we are inventing the future for consumer electronics and are looking for a Systems Development Engineer II to help us bring the vision into reality and solve real-world challenges that will transform our customers’ experiences in ways we can’t even imagine yet. The team develops scalable cloud solutions that enable our partners to quickly build and launch services/devices in a cost-effective way. As a Systems Development Engineer, you will technically contribute to a complex charter of building and delivering T1 cloud services for Device OS. You will implement technical initiatives identified in the roadmap of multi-year business-critical cloud technology solutions which will be rolled out to multiple devices across millions of devices. You will work on technical initiatives to bring about cost optimization across various AWS environments, manage availability, latency, and performance of our mission-critical services, and build automation to prevent problem recurrence. You will work closely with platform and application teams to ensure the highest level of quality for the Device OS deliverable.

Key Job Responsibilities

Create the required infrastructure on AWS through CDK. Perform weekly deployments independently. Monitor the system, application health and do the first level of triaging, troubleshooting. Automate day-to-day manual tasks. BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting infrastructure. Experience in networking, storage systems, operating systems, and hands-on systems engineering. Experience programming or scripting language like Python, Java, C, or C++. Experience with Linux/Unix. Experience with CI/CD pipelines build processes. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
