About the role Drive the overall strategic and operational development of Emergency Rescue Systems from concept to finished products, with a strong focus on market and customer needs. The role includes responsibility for the overall technical oversight and guidance with regards to relevant systems and product requirements covering mechanical, electronic and software aspects. Be an Ambassador of System Engineering, Requirements Management and Evidence based Engineering approaches with Draeger Safety SRPS Blyth (Safety, Respiratory and Protection Systems) and help establish cross functional system thinking. Definition of system level requirements and guiding/challenging the product requirements based on the market application needs. Translation of requirements into technical system requirements. Technical leadership and guidance of the system definition and implementation. Alignment of System interfaces (internal & external). Lead technical teams in the integration of different system components, ensuring they work together effectively. Support major gate reviews (e.g, Product design reviews) and manage risk and opportunity processes. Own and drive of “bug” tracking and countermeasure delivery. Champion the “V Model” approach from a systems perspective and liaise with Product Qualification to close the loops of V&V. Generation of architecture and model in line with MBSE principles. Close cooperation with Systems Engineering across all Draeger sites and business units. Role Requirements Education/Qualifications Degree in Engineering such as Electronics, Mechanical, Computer Science, Mechatronics or similar. Related Experience Experience of Model Based Systems Engineering desirable. Experience of leading a technical team is desirable. Experience of INCOSE System approach. Work in multidisciplinary/cross-functional teams. Working across sites / cultures. Experience of Requirements Management tools (i.e DOORS and JIRA). Skills, Special Competencies Requirements Management. Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Excellent Negotiation Skills. Strong ability to see “bigger picture”, system thinker. Adaptability and Flexibility. Time Management and Organisational skills. Strong teamworking and collaboration skills.
