About the Role: The Lanes Group are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented System Support Specialist to oversee the administration and support of our business systems. This individual will serve as the first point of contact for resolving user enquiries, offering insights into system usage, and identifying opportunities to enhance operational efficiency. As a critical liaison between users and the system architect, this role ensures seamless system functionality and user satisfaction. Location: Preston based for training, then hybrid working is available Hours:

Monday - Friday 37.5 Hours Responsibilities – but not limited to: Manage and maintain day-to-day operations of business systems. Ensure systems are running smoothly and efficiently. Perform regular system checks and maintenance. Act as the primary contact for users with questions about system functionality, reports, or data retrieval. Provide training and documentation to help users maximize their efficiency with the systems. Troubleshoot and resolve user issues, escalating to the system architect when necessary. Analyse system usage to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement. Collaborate with stakeholders to propose and implement enhancements. Action approved change requests by implementing changes in test environment, complete UAT and release to production. Stay up-to-date with system updates and new features to recommend process optimizations. Assist users in generating and interpreting reports from the systems. Ensure data accuracy and integrity within systems. Work with teams to customize reports or dashboards to meet business needs. Work closely with the system architect to address complex technical issues and implement system upgrades. Communicate system updates and changes to relevant stakeholders. Experience: Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to translate technical issues into understandable terms for non-technical users. Experience in supporting business systems or enterprise software. Ability to work collaboratively with technical and non-technical teams. A proactive approach to identifying and resolving system inefficiencies. Previous experience in a similar support role is a plus.
