About the Role As a Systemic Family Therapist within a CAMHS eating disorder setting, you will provide essential therapeutic support to young people facing severe mental health, developmental, and behavioral challenges. Working as part of a multidisciplinary team, you’ll deliver systemic interventions, manage a complex caseload, and support both short- and long-term crisis planning for vulnerable youth and their families. Key Responsibilities:
Provide specialized systemic interventions to support families of young people with complex mental health and developmental needs Conduct comprehensive risk assessments and create individualized crisis plans Bring systemic perspectives to multidisciplinary risk management, care planning, and decision-making processes Facilitate support groups, including carer support groups, and engage in direct family therapy sessions Monitor clinical progress and provide regular reviews of systemic interventions Support team development through training, consultations, and reflective practice sessions Contribute to service advancements within the Therapies Team and the broader organization
Requirements:
Completion of a qualifying course in
Systemic Psychotherapy
at Master’s or Doctorate level, accredited by AFT UKCP registration Experience in a
CAMHS
setting, working with adolescents and families with complex mental health needs, high-risk behaviors, and neurodevelopmental conditions
