This critical position is ideal for a qualified accountant looking to leverage their expertise in financial systems to drive efficiencies and improve processes within a dynamic organisation.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the integration, enhancement, and management of the company's financial systems, ensuring streamlined, efficient, and accurate data flows. Take responsibility for the preparation and consolidation of accounts, ensuring compliance with internal and external reporting requirements. Provide hands-on support for month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations, accruals, and prepayments. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement and optimise financial software solutions that meet the organisation's needs. Develop financial models, templates, and reports to support business objectives and decision-making. Deliver ongoing training and support to finance and non-finance users on system functionality and best practices. Prepare and provide ad hoc financial and management reports as needed. Support audit processes, acting as a key contact for external auditors.
Essential Requirements
Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent). Demonstrable experience as a Systems Accountant or in a similar role within a large, complex organisation. Proficient understanding of consolidated accounts. Strong proficiency in ERP systems and financial reporting tools. Advanced Excel skills with an aptitude for financial modeling and data analysis. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively across teams.
