We are excited to be recruiting a Systems Accountant for a market leading environmental services organisation based in Pontefract. This is a newly created role to bridge the gap between finance and IT, ensuring our financial systems and processes are robust, efficient, and support strategic decision-making. Working closely with cross-functional teams to implement, enhance, and maintain our financial systems while providing insightful data analysis to drive performance. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with a wide range of ERP systems and a strong understanding of Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) and Order-to-Cash (OTC) processes. The successful candidate will support the delivery of accurate and timely consolidation financial data and the maintenance of data integrity.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead the implementation and ongoing management of financial and ERP systems, ensuring alignment with business needs. Collaborate with the finance team to streamline processes and improve reporting capabilities. Develop, test, and deploy system upgrades and new functionalities. Provide training and support to staff on system use and best practices. Ensure compliance with financial regulations and standards through system configuration. Analyse financial data to generate actionable insights and support strategic planning. Act as the key liaison between finance, IT, and external software providers. Qualifications/Experience:
ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualification (or equivalent). Proven experience with financial systems, ERP platforms, and process automation. Strong analytical skills and a keen eye for detail. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. A proactive mindset with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
