Lisburn, Northern Ireland, United Kingdom This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced System Administrator who wishes to join a dynamic IT team. This role requires an experienced candidate to provide support to end user computing architecture focusing mainly on a Linux based platform as part of a complex distributed network. The successful candidate will have responsibility for the administration and support of IT systems in Camlin Group. The ideal candidate will be primarily responsible for administration and support of our AWS environment, Linux server and desktop systems, with some Windows 10, Office 365, SharePoint, E-mail, Teams, AD and applications support. You will be working alongside the existing IT team but will be expected to bring additional knowledge and experience to aid the growth and expansion of the company. This position may require occasional visits to our other sites and offices. Responsibilities include: Troubleshooting and maintenance of high availability systems (mainly on cloud and physical DC). Maintaining and monitoring systems. Define, implement and maintain an enterprise-wide Linux fleet management system. Software installation and patching. Provides technical support and resolves problems of a comprehensive and complex nature. Performs complex problem solving and assistance on diverse software applications and hardware systems for department users. Provides in-depth individual and/or group instructions and training to staff on new or updated technologies. Maintain, update and audit data systems; document projects, write and maintain user instructions. Perform advanced systems support, maintenance, and testing for proper upkeep of systems, troubleshoot and resolves complex system hardware, software, and network failures and conflicts. Participate in research and development initiatives and aid in the implementation of new technologies. Securing systems, networks and individual computers based on requirements and ISO27001 standards. Participation in the on-call rotation schedule if required. Minimum Qualifications: Minimum of 3 years of experience in the use, installation, support and troubleshooting Linux servers. Experience of or a strong working knowledge of Linux based distributions (primarily Ubuntu, CentOS and Redhat). Minimum 2 years of experience with containerization / cloud computing. Experience with high availability and business continuity principles. Experience with Terraform. Networking and security knowledge. Good understanding of IT infrastructure delivery and software deployment cycles. Fluent in English, both written and verbal. Excellent organisational, interpersonal and presentation skills. Ability to provide leadership and direction to end users. Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a wide range of professionals. Ability to manage complex IT related workload across multiple sites. Ability to communicate technical guidance and instruction to users. Excellent telephone / teleconferencing manner. Desire to perform a key role in creating solutions that will transform organization. Work with Amazon Web Services (AWS) to assess applications, software and hardware. Develop, coordinate and administrate AWS infrastructure. Have containerization, (Kubernetes, Docker) troubleshooting and support tasks. Linux servers troubleshooting and support tasks. Oversee governance and mitigate risk. Working knowledge of Hyper V, VMs, Hypervisors. Knowledge of ISO27001 standards and practices. Experience working in an Agile environment.
