systems developer

to join our growing team to design and implement systems solutions in response to the proliferation of data and the need for process efficiency across the business. The systems developer will play a pivotal role in the translation of business needs into technical specifications and custom-built systems. You will also be involved in developing processes and workflows and collaborating with teams to integrate systems. You will improve existing systems, develop new systems, and ensure the accuracy and efficiency of data-driven solutions. RESPONSIBILITIES Designing, creating, and implementing systems solutions in response to business needs and strategic direction. Analysing and re-designing existing business processes to ensure efficiency. Working within a team that creates and enhances technical and systems solutions to guide decision-making within the business. Integrating systems to ensure data accuracy, consistency, and integrity across all systems. Maintaining and supporting databases, systems, and platforms. Continuous improvement to ensure that processes and systems are optimised. Involvement with web development solutions. Developing, updating, and maintaining technical documentation. Other ad hoc duties, including specialised reporting. The Candidate will ideally have the following requirements and skills: Essential Proven work experience as a systems developer or similar role. Experience of end-to-end process improvements and design. In-depth understanding of relational databases, including Microsoft SQL Server. In-depth understanding of programming languages. Sound knowledge of various operating systems and databases. Ability to adapt to change and respond to emerging business requirements. The ability to think logically, problem-solve, and work well both independently and in a team. Proven ability to take initiative and be innovative. Knowledge of front and back-end web systems. The ability to interact with stakeholders to establish what the problem is and manage expectations. Efficient communication and organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise. Desirable Experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Bachelor’s degree in information technology or computer science is preferred.
