Systems Developer & Technical Specialist (Christian Charity)

Tearfund Posted today This advertiser has chosen not to accept applicants from your region. Are you an experienced Angular developer who would like to join with other Christians in Tearfund's work with local churches around the world tackling poverty? This role within a team of 14 developers will allow you to use your strong technical experience and interest in researching new technologies to serve people living in poverty in over 50 countries around the world. The responsibilities of this role include: Developing and maintaining existing systems. Providing specialist development skills across the Application Development Team. Researching new technologies and recommending and implementing solutions. Taking responsibility for other technical areas used across the team. This is a hands-on technical role with a strong focus on research, collaboration, and knowledge sharing, rather than line management. This is an exciting opportunity for a passionate technologist to play a key role in guiding and delivering Tearfund's development strategy. Poverty is not God's plan. You are. We believe that we all play a part in ending extreme poverty and using our God-given skills to make a difference. Do your skills, experience, and passion match the above? Then we'd love to hear from you! We particularly welcome applications from people with disabilities and those from Black, Asian, or Minority Ethnic (BAME) backgrounds (in our UK workforce) as these groups are currently under-represented at Tearfund. This role is eligible for hybrid working, mostly home-based with 2 days/month in Tearfund's office in Teddington, SW London (or more if desired). All applicants must be committed to Tearfund's Christian beliefs. The recruitment process will include specific checks related to safeguarding. In addition, personal identification information will be submitted against a Watchlist database to check against criminal convictions as a counter-terror measure.
