As the educational arm of Westminster City Council, Westminster Adult Education Service (WAES) offers a range of courses from ESOL, English, Maths, and Digital to Accounting, Community Learning, Childcare, Teaching, and Languages to the Creative Arts and Culture. WAES aims to inspire residents to achieve their goals and enrich their lives through transformative learning experiences. As a JD Systems Developer, you will contribute to WAES’s mission of inspiring lifelong learning in our communities. You will manage the support, maintenance, and ongoing development of WAES’ learner records systems, and adapt the data management systems to support the service’s data processes. You will also support the implementation of new systems and products, managing the development timeline and communicating effectively. Your responsibilities will include identifying, developing, and implementing digital solutions that enhance the learner and staff experience while playing a pivotal role in WAES’s Digital and IT strategy. You will maintain strong relationships with systems providers and collaborate with curriculum colleagues to ensure the needs of the service and learners are met. You will work closely with the MIS team to monitor reports for core systems, ensuring they meet user needs, and liaise with the IT services team for proper execution of data management activities. You will lead the ongoing development of SharePoint sites and utilize Microsoft 365 products to support administration and learner experience. Additionally, you will manage user training for data management systems and assist the IT and MIS teams as needed during peak times. To succeed in this role, you should have prior experience with a further education students’ records system (preferably EBS), project management skills, and experience in developing .NET and Web service processing solutions. You must possess general ICT skills with at least one level 5 or higher qualification in Information Technology or equivalent work experience. Proficiency in Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Power Platform, Microsoft SQL Server, SSRS, .NET technologies, REST API, and Web services is essential. A minimum of a level 2 qualification in English and Maths or equivalent is also required. What We Offer:
