As a Systems Engineer, you will be responsible for the ownership and development of the Systems Definition for our retrofit autonomous systems. You will play a critical role in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality products that meet customer requirements and industry standards. Collaboration with cross-functional teams, including hardware and software engineering, project management, applications engineering, and quality assurance, will be vital to your success.
What will you be doing?
Drive the design and development of innovative off-highway autonomous test equipment systems to production.
Implement redundancy strategies to enhance the robustness and reliability of our systems.
Work closely with stakeholders to define and document system requirements, ensuring a clear understanding of functionality, performance, and safety criteria.
Collaborate with Project Management team to plan, prioritise, manage resource allocation, and oversee project activities, ensuring adherence to schedules and budget constraints.
Help develop and execute comprehensive testing plans, including functional, performance, and safety testing, to validate system behaviours under various conditions.
Create comprehensive technical documentation for system requirements, design specifications, and test plans.
What are we looking for?
A technical background – for example an Engineering Degree or related field.
Proficiency in systems engineering tools and methodologies, such as SysML and requirements traceability.
Familiarity with automotive standards, protocols, and test methodologies is highly desirable.
Solid project management skills, with the ability to lead and coordinate multifunctional teams
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot and debug complex systems.
