We are seeking a knowledgeable and detail-oriented DFMEA/PFMEA Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supporting reliability analysis processes, focusing on Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA), Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), and other reliability assessments, particularly for electronic systems. This role will involve producing reliability predictions, FMECA (Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis), and FTA (Fault Tree Analysis), while working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure that all aspects of system reliability are addressed and reported effectively.

Requirements

Reliability Predictions and Reporting:

Produce and report on reliability predictions for electronic systems, ensuring that reliability models are accurate and aligned with customer requirements and industry standards. Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the reliability of systems, using tools and methodologies relevant to electronic systems. FMECA Production:

Lead and manage the production of Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) reports for electronic systems. Work closely with the Test and Testability Architecture teams to assess test coverage and validate that the analysis aligns with system testing. Derivation of Reliability Requirements:

Derive and define reliability requirements based on customer specifications, industry standards, and previous project data to ensure that reliability targets are met for electronic systems. R&M Plans:

Support the preparation and implementation of Reliability and Maintainability (R&M) Plans, ensuring that all necessary activities are accounted for to meet reliability goals. Assist in ensuring that R&M Plans reflect the technical and operational needs of the project. R&M Case Management:

Support the management of R&M Cases, including the collection and collation of extended data sets such as test evidence, design assessments, and failure data. Author comprehensive R&M Case Reports to document and communicate the findings, risks, and mitigation strategies associated with reliability assessments. Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) - Desirable:

Assist in or lead the production of Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) reports for electronic systems, identifying and analysing potential failure pathways in complex systems. Use FTA to support the identification of critical failure modes and guide system design improvements. Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in an Engineering subject, Reliability Engineering, or a related field. Essential Skills:

Proven experience in conducting DFMEA, PFMEA, FMECA, and other reliability analyses for electronic systems. Familiarity with reliability prediction tools, FTA methodologies, and industry-standard techniques for failure analysis. Experience in preparing and managing R&M Plans, as well as authoring R&M Case Reports. Strong understanding of system design, particularly within the context of electronic systems and their reliability considerations. Experience in collaborating with cross-functional teams, particularly in Test and Testability Architecture, to ensure comprehensive reliability assessments. Strong communication skills to produce clear and concise technical reports and collaborate effectively with team members and stakeholders. Preferred Skills:

Experience with reliability prediction software tools (e.g., RAM Commander, RELIABILITYWORKS, etc.). Familiarity with industry standards for reliability analysis (e.g., MIL-HDBK-217, IEC 61508, etc.). Experience with Failure Mode, Effects, and Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and Fault Tree Analysis (FTA) in the context of electronic or defence systems. Knowledge of electronic systems testing, including test evidence collection and validation against failure modes. Benefits
