Systems Engineer

to join the team. The Role As a Systems Engineer in the HR and Payroll department, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining, optimizing, and developing systems that support the department's functions. You will ensure that the technology infrastructure aligns with operational needs, enhances data accuracy, and supports compliance with payroll regulations and HR policies. Key Responsibilities System Maintenance and Development:

Maintain and improve the HR and payroll systems to ensure reliability, security, and functionality. Technical Support:

Provide technical support to HR and Payroll staff, resolving system-related issues promptly. Integration:

Work to integrate systems with other college-wide platforms, ensuring seamless data flow and functionality. Data Management:

Support the HR and Payroll team with accurate data reporting and analytics, enabling data-driven decision-making. Compliance and Security:

Ensure all systems meet GDPR and other regulatory requirements, with a strong focus on data security. Training:

Conduct training sessions for HR and Payroll staff to ensure they are confident using the systems effectively. What We're Looking For Essential: Proven experience in a systems engineering or IT support role. Familiarity with HR and payroll software systems (e.g., iTrent, Sage Payroll, or similar). Strong knowledge of database management and reporting tools. Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities to work effectively with non-technical staff. Understanding of data security and GDPR compliance requirements. Desirable: Previous experience in the education sector or working within a college environment. Project management skills, with experience in system upgrades or migrations.
