We are seeking a highly skilled and versatile Systems Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of expertise in system architecture, design, integration, testing, and validation within complex systems. You will be responsible for the entire lifecycle of system development, ensuring compliance with industry standards, meeting security and safety requirements, and contributing to the creation of high-quality, reliable systems for use in critical applications, such as defence, aerospace, and maritime sectors. 10+ years of experience is ideally required.

Requirements Requirements Management:

Capture, document, and manage system requirements using industry-standard tools Ensure traceability from requirements to design, testing, and validation to maintain clear system requirements throughout the lifecycle

System Architecture & Design:

Develop system-level and sub-system designs for software, electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems Define, model, and document interface requirements and properties between system components

Testing & Evaluation:

Support the creation of comprehensive test plans for unit, integration, factory, trials, and customer acceptance tests Assist in executing test cases, troubleshooting faults, and ensuring system compliance with relevant standards (e.g., Def-Stan, Mil-Std)

System Integration & Validation:

Oversee the integration of hardware and software components into larger systems, ensuring full functionality Conduct post-integration testing to identify and resolve integration issues, ensuring the system operates as intended

Safety & Risk Assessments:

Conduct safety and risk assessments for electronic and electrical systems, identifying potential hazards and implementing mitigation strategies Ensure compliance with defence, aerospace, and maritime safety standards

Certification & Qualification:

Support system certification efforts to ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards Assist in preparing documentation for regulatory and safety certifications

Documentation & Reporting:

Develop clear, concise, and professionally written documentation throughout the lifecycle stages, ensuring comprehensive records of system designs, requirements, test results, and other critical processes

Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in an Engineering subject, such as Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Software Engineering or a related field Proven experience (5+ years) as a Systems Engineer or in a similar role within industries such as defence, aerospace, or maritime Skills (Essential): Strong knowledge of requirements, system design, integration and systems testing, and validation processes Proficiency with requirements management tools, particularly IBM DOORS Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Strong communication and interpersonal skills Knowledge of Product safety and risk assessment methodologies Knowledge of Information Assurance and Product Security Desirable Skills (Optional): Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) and relevant tools Familiarity with environmental testing, including temperature, vibration, and humidity assessments Familiarity with qualification activities such as Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC), Radio Frequency (RF) testing, and Safety compliance Why Join Us?
