Simpson Millar is currently looking for an experienced Systems & Information Analyst. This is a unique role as it blends HR administration and Data Analysis. You will work with the People Team and key stakeholders across the business to enable the delivery of our aim to ‘create the best possible environment for SM colleagues to thrive’. Your responsibilities will include ensuring all systems and data owned and used by the People Team are user-friendly, accurate, and up to date to provide people data analysis and insights that support decision-making for the business. You will act as a first point of contact for HR-related queries from colleagues and external partners, being integral in building a positive employee experience by providing a comprehensive, quality service to our stakeholders while carrying out various administrative tasks impacting the employee lifecycle. As an experienced Systems & Information Analyst, you will be responsible for: All data and information contained within Cascade (HRIS). Ensuring that all data is accurate and consistent, supporting the BI Team with management and commercial reporting. Developing people data models to facilitate decision-making for the People Team and SMT. Providing all required reports, KPIs (planned and ad-hoc), developing automated approaches wherever possible. Answering queries sent into the HR inbox. Supporting payroll administration and processing each month, when required. Providing administrative support to the HR Team on all HR areas. Administering new starters, ordering IT equipment, issuing contracts, and ensuring compliance of right to work documentation and background checking compliance. Assisting with reviewing and documenting processes within HR and making recommendations for their development, seeking continuous improvement. Managing HR systems, including documenting the configuration, maintaining data field names, screen locations, security, type, functionality of data processing and process flows, updating user accounts, and resetting passwords. Responsible for the People Dashboard content and working closely with the BI Team to drive continuous improvements. Being the ‘guru’ and superuser of the HRIS and other associated tech platforms used by the People Team. Conducting Gender Pay Gap analysis and other statutory analysis as required, identifying concerns and strengths, and making suggestions for improvements. General compliance reporting for the People Team. Essential Experience Required: Experience in working within a complex, multi-site, regulated business. Experience of working within a HR/People Team. Strong understanding of commercial data and how to interpret/analyze it. Advanced ability with Excel, Microsoft Word, and PowerPoint. Good knowledge of HR Systems (HRIS and other people-related portals, e.g., benefits, Intranets, etc.). Data-oriented and good at interpreting/analyzing data to make decisions. Highly organized and comfortable dealing with ambiguity. Strong administration experience. Excellent attention to detail. Confident written and verbal communication skills.
