Join our winning team, Physical Access Control Solutions (PACS) at our Cardiff location. The PACS business is highly visible and one of our most significant portfolios within HID Global. The PACS products include smart cards, mobile access and identifications, software, services, and controllers for physical access control. As our Systems QA Engineer, you will support HID’s success by: Integrating all parts of HID’s PACS Portfolio and reporting on system performance. Maintaining the Systems/Solution lab. Adding new products or upgrades to the test bench. Creating and running test plans to check system performance. Reviewing plans and reports to improve the test bench. Running baseline tests to gather initial data. Analyzing test data to see if it meets requirements. Creating test reports for the Engineering/Program teams. Ensuring test samples and equipment are ready. Attending regular meetings to report on test status. Working with other staff/teams to solve problems. Supporting the PACS Development Roadmap and related projects. What we will love about your background: The ability to drive continuous product/solution quality based on real-world experiences and practices is paramount. Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge principles, practices, and procedures over a wide range of PACS Systems and Solutions. Working knowledge of networking, switches, routers, etc. Able to meet challenging deadlines. Agile Mindset. Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, Android, and iOS. Your Experience and Education include: Possesses or working towards a degree or equivalent qualification or 3-5 years related experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience. This position would ideally suit an Access Control or L3 Technical Support Engineer with extensive experience in scoping, installing, configuring, and supporting all aspects of Physical Access Control Systems under real-world conditions. IT/IP Networking and associated technologies. Lean and Agile methodologies, including SAFe. Access Control management via Head-End or IAM Systems.
