The Talent Acquisition Specialist is responsible for the attraction, selection and onboarding of experienced and Trainee Bus Drivers within the area. Working closely with the business and the Talent Acquisition Manager, you will understand the hiring requirements and effectively manage the pipeline to deliver sufficient candidates to fulfil the demand. You will proactively generate pipeline through advertising and direct sourcing channels, and shortlist the most suitable candidates. You will provide effective recruitment advice and guidance to your stakeholders and come up with innovative solutions for attracting the best talent. This role is offered on a hybrid basis between our Thurmaston depot and home, but will also require regular travel across the depots in the area (Leicester, Derby, Tamworth, Telford, Shrewsbury, Luton & Milton Keynes). Responsibilities Management of the recruitment delivery for all operational roles within the area - including volume hiring of Trainee and experienced Bus Drivers and operational management/support roles. Creation of local attraction campaigns, working closely with Operational Management to execute targeted advertising. Utilisation of online attraction tools, understanding the effectiveness of the sources and optimising to deliver maximum results. Ensure that all campaigns are delivered within agreed timescales to deliver the required number of candidates for operational roles to meet the workforce plan. Sift applications and conduct initial screening to shortlist candidates for assessment/interview. Co-ordination and facilitation of candidate interview/assessment days and analysis of results. Liaise with Training School to agree induction dates and capacity in line with the workforce plans. Proactively manage candidate throughputs daily, identify and deliver appropriate interventions to address dips or peaks in candidate numbers against defined requirements. Support candidates through the onboarding process through to start date ensuring best candidate experience and maximum conversion to hire. Advise hiring managers on appropriate assessment tools where required. Manage the relationships with key stakeholders within the designated recruitment activity area at a local level – (Hiring managers and HR teams where appropriate). Contribute through own and team performance to the achievement of Recruitment KPI targets and SLAs. What we're looking for Previous experience within a recruitment role with a proven track record of managing the end-to-end recruitment process. Experience of working in a volume frontline recruitment environment within a fast-paced environment. Confident with online and offline candidate search methodologies including CV databases, job boards and social media. Data-focused with the ability to articulate pipeline, performance and forecast hiring volumes. Strong influencing and stakeholder management skills. Attention to detail and professional written and verbal communication skills. Knowledge of employment legislation in relation to recruitment. Experience of working with recruitment systems and standard computer packages. Full UK driving license as travel to depots and careers events would be required.
