Mhairi Mackenzie Associates act on behalf of a technology client to exclusively recruit for a Talent Management Lead.


We are looking for a Leader to manage and direct the functions of Talent Acquisition, Talent Performance and Talent Management. We require someone who possesses exceptionally strong business acumen, an innovation mindset and with strong commercial awareness who can play a key part in this dynamic matrix business - and have the skills and confidence to move with agility between strategy and delivery.


The key purpose of the role is to shape and embed the enterprise-wide career strategy and talent management approach to enable this highly successful technology business grows in line with their existing People Strategy.


This interesting and challenging role will have a team of 10 direct reports to deliver Talent Management strategy encompassing across the employee life cycle - Talent Acquisition, Early Careers, Leadership development.

Person Specification


We are looking for a skilled and driven individual who will bring extensive subject matter expertise in Talent Management and consulting to advise and support HR and business leaders. We are looking for a candidate who is professional, motivated and results driven and can offer the following:


•      Strong business acumen to fully understanding business priorities, opportunities and challenges, and external influencing factors

•      Ability to understand and analyse data to influence key decision making

•      Experience evolving talent strategy, through diagnostic thinking, needs analyses & data analysis, managing expectations, building collaborative relationships, and challenging constructively with a point of view

•      Experience building talent strategies, including high potential identification and acceleration, assessment, succession planning, career development planning and talent movement

•      Change management skills to help the business plan and lead change effectively by using consulting skills and providing relevant change frameworks and tools

•      Strong project management to ensure completion and implementation of projects or programs on time and within budget.

•      Coaching & development experience


Key areas of responsibility:

 

Talent Acquisition

 

·      Be responsible for the Talent Acquisition (TA) team performance to deliver strategic work force planning solutions

·      Coach and mentor Talent Acquisition (TA) Lead who manages the TA team to deliver acquiring talent both internally and externally to meet future resourcing needs.

 

Talent Performance


•       Be responsible for creating and executing a Talent Strategy for the UK organisation, ensuring we have the right capability to deliver the business strategy.

•       Be responsible for the Talent team performance to deliver key deliverables that complement the People Strategy

•       Create an early careers strategy to attract diverse applicants.

•       Be an expert consultant in various talent and development tools, use talent data to identify trends and make recommendations to enable the business to meet its People Strategy

•       Influence and develop leaders to promote a performance culture through effective utilisation of tools such as succession planning, performance management, and engagement survey action planning.

•       Lead strategic needs assessments including field-based research, data analysis, interviews, and focus groups; ensure effective integration of Centre of Expertise solutions; and provide talent management support through business changes


Talent Management 


•       Enhance our competency models and talent assessments to align all phases of the employee life cycle to a common set of cultural and leadership expectation

•       Be responsible for the team performance to deliver key deliverables that compliment the People Strategy

•       Lead the talent planning process and follow up actions, curate development experiences in partnership with business leadership teams and external firms to support development plans, build leadership capability through coaching, mentoring and advice

•       Focus on specific areas where there are critical skill pipeline risks, working closely with our HRBP’s and Talent team


Reporting lines:

 

Reporting directly to the People & Cultural Transformation Director.

Team of circa 10 direct reports.
