Tanker Planner Menzies Distribution Solutions are currently looking for a Transport Planner to join our Tankers Division based in Droitwich. The Contracts Planner is responsible for the efficient planning, monitoring, and coordination of transportation operations for assigned contracts. To ensure that all aspects of the planning process align with customer requirements, maintaining accurate records, monitoring driver activity, allocating and coordinating tank wash schedules, and ensuring stock levels meet demand. A proactive approach to operational planning and problem-solving, ensuring high standards of service delivery. Additionally to ensure compliance with safety, legal, and customer requirements while adapting plans to changing conditions are met. The Details Salary: £28K Per Annum (A candidate with little Tanker/Planning experience but has had previous exposure to a Transport/Planning environment.) - £32K Per Annum (A candidate with both Planning and specifically Tanker Planning experience.) Pattern: Monday to Friday Days Hours: 09:00-18:00 (45 Hour Week) Location: Droitwich WR9 0LW Monthly Pay Parking Onsite Key Duties and Accountabilities (Will include but not be limited to) Driver Monitoring:

Track driver locations and job status, addressing any discrepancies promptly. Schedule Management:

Oversee loading schedules and adjust ETAs as needed, escalating issues when required. Daily Reporting:

Prepare and send status reports to key accounts, ensuring clear communication of ETAs and any issues. Fleet Coordination:

Communicate wash schedules, update KPIs, and participate in daily operations meetings. Account Planning:

Manage and update schedules for key accounts throughout the day, including planning sheets and allocation updates. Ensure effective and efficient use of driver, vehicle and tanker resource. Communication:

Maintain regular, detailed contact with customers, drivers, and internal teams regarding schedule changes, delays, and load plans. Develop effective working relationships with internal and external customers and suppliers. Resource Planning:

Allocate resources, plan loads, and update the ESP system with relevant details. Weekly and Handover Tasks:

Attend fleet meetings for service updates and prepare handovers for the tanker team and management. Safe Working:

Maintain a safe working environment that complies with all aspects of the company’s H & S Policy. Key Experience and Qualifications Experience in logistics, planning, or scheduling within the transportation or tanker industry. Familiarity with fleet management systems and tracking tools. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively. Experience in communicating with clients and drivers to resolve scheduling issues. Familiarity with safety and compliance requirements for fleet operations. Technical Skills and Behavioural Competencies Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook) and Google Sheets for KPI tracking and planning. Experience with fleet tracking software and resource planning tools. Knowledge of ESP and other logistics software for load planning. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make quick decisions under pressure. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for customer and internal coordination. Attention to detail to ensure accurate reporting and scheduling. Ability to work independently and as part of a team, demonstrating a proactive approach to resolving issues.
