We have the opportunity for an Associate or Senior Associate to join our Tax team at Walker Morris. You’ll join a genuinely friendly and supportive team where you’ll be encouraged to develop your career at Walker Morris. You'll be provided with access to quality work for both national and international clients. The Walker Morris tax team provides advice and support to all areas of the firm and this is reflected in the wide variety of work you will be exposed to. Your regular workload will include: Working on M&A transactions both UK based and cross-border, negotiating documents and helping to structure transactions; Preparing and advising on a range of incentive schemes from an approved EMI scheme for a start-up to stock options and restricted securities offered by international plcs; Providing advice with real estate transactions, notably in the area of VAT, SDLT and capital allowances; Assisting other teams like employment, commercial, and construction on the myriad of tax issues which occur in their practice areas. A role within the Walker Morris tax team represents a great chance for the right person to really get hands-on and embrace the opportunities offered. We are a very quick-paced department meaning there is plenty of opportunity to hone your skills, get involved in business development, and you will be offered plenty of client-facing opportunities too.
