We are currently seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join an established accountancy practice on either a full-time basis in Woodford. Purpose of role To support the Client Directors in delivering technically excellent tax advice to a range of corporate and personal tax clients, developing and maintaining strong relationships to create new business opportunities.

Key Responsibilities of Tax Manager London

Prepare and review corporate and personal tax returns, including supporting schedules and computations, ensuring accuracy and compliance with relevant tax laws and regulations. Deliver tax planning initiatives for corporate clients to minimise tax liabilities and optimise tax efficiency, including R & D, employee share schemes, and EIS/SEIS applications/implementation. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, serving as a trusted advisor on tax matters and providing proactive tax advice. Conduct research on complex tax issues and provide recommendations based on findings to clients and colleagues, including report writing when required. Manage multiple client engagements simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery of high-quality work and adherence to deadlines. Deal with HMRC in relation to enquiries in a professional manner, negotiating where relevant and liaising between HMRC and the client. Review other team members' work and support and train when required. Be a point of contact for internal ad hoc tax queries across all four locations. Stay abreast of changes in tax legislation and regulations and ensure compliance with all relevant requirements.

Skills, Experience and Attributes required

Experience of corporate and personal tax within a UK accountancy practice. Knowledge of property tax is an advantage. Strong knowledge of corporate and personal tax principles, regulations, and compliance requirements. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically and provide innovative tax solutions. Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to convey complex tax concepts to clients and colleagues. Proven ability to manage client relationships and work effectively in a team-oriented environment. Proficiency in Iris software (preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite. Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high-quality work.
