A fantastic opportunity has arisen for a Tax Manager to join a rapidly growing boutique Chartered practice, located in modern Hi-tech offices in Brentwood, Essex. This new position consolidates the existing tax workstreams across the practice and provides the successful candidate the opportunity to expand and develop the in-house tax offering. The successful candidate will be highly motivated, technically competent and must have the ability to manage multiple workflows autonomously. You should have a good mix tax understanding specifically VAT, CGT, IT and CT. This firm has seen extraordinary organic growth since inception in 2012. Now operating across three distinct locations, London, Manchester and Essex, it has a diverse client base, from HNWI to Directors of SME’s operating in Construction, Financial Services, Ecommerce, Sports & Entertainment, with turnover ranging from £200k to £15m. Duties Overview

Managing a full portfolio of 400 clients Work closely with Directors and clients on planning and advisory Identify and develop new revenue opportunities Manage all tax compliance supervising team of qualified and juniors. Deal with HMRC Enquiries Advise as required on tax technical issues Complete technical research working with our Tax Support team Understanding taxation of corporate group structures Advisory projects, which will include letter and report writing Prepare and generate Personal Tax Returns using IRIS Liaise with HM Revenue & Customs Monitor and record WIP and raise bills in a timely fashion Dealing with engagements letters and clearance Identify tax planning opportunities and fee strategy Attend client meetings as appropriate across all locations Undertake technical research Software

IRIS MS Office The successful candidate will be FCA/CTA qualified or equivalent preferably with 5 years post qualification experience. You will have a strong grounding in tax compliance and advisory having exposure to enquiries and disclosures. You should be personable and can demonstrate a high level of competency, developing and leveraging long term client relationships.
