You will be reporting directly to the Tax Director, and you will play a critical role in the review and completion of tax returns for a varied client portfolio. You will also identify opportunities to contribute towards the development of a larger advisory function. Key Responsibilities include: Management of P11ds. Oversee personal tax returns, supporting junior staff with technical queries. Completion of complex tax returns. Act as a primary contact for clients, attending meetings as needed, and supporting in providing strategic business and tax advisory services. Liaise with external bodies such as HMRC and promptly resolve client queries. Support the Tax Director with advisory projects and ad hoc tax advice for clients. Lead, develop, and mentor a small team, promoting a client-centric and supportive environment. Contribute to monthly management meetings, driving operational and cultural improvements. Skills and Experience: CTA qualified (or equivalent) with post-qualification experience. Proven experience managing a diverse client portfolio in an accounting practice. In-depth knowledge of tax legislation. Strong technical expertise in personal tax and capital allowances for sole traders and partnerships, as well as a good understanding of Corporation Tax. Sound tax advisory knowledge enabling you to advise owner-managed businesses and families covering IHT, CGT, Income Tax and all Company Tax issues. Experience of succession planning and corporate restructuring for company clients would be welcomed but not essential. Experience of advising non-resident clients would be an advantage but not essential. Proficiency in addressing complex tax issues. Ability to nurture and maintain strong client relationships, providing excellent holistic advisory services from the company perspective and individuals. Strong leadership experience with a track record of mentoring and developing teams.
