I am working alongside a global business looking to hire a Tax Manager into a newly created role. Description
Projects, planning and tax advisory responsibilities include: Ongoing support with restructuring projects, including transfers of trade, liquidations and capital restructures. Support on M&A transactions including due diligence. Liaising directly with external advisors on the collation of tax advice relating to key business initiatives. Managing the Group's position for group relief, interest restriction and loss utilisation. Assisting with review and maintenance of UK tax strategy and anti-facilitation of tax evasion legislation. Assisting with the Group's position in respect of Pillar 2. Staying up to date with changes to legislation and assessing the impact for the business. UK Risk, reporting & compliance responsibilities include: Preparation and submission of UK CT computations for the entities. Preparation of UK Budget tax figures. Calculating and coordinating CT quarterly instalments and group relief payments. Assisting with management of HMRC enquiries into corporate tax returns. Posting of tax journals for management reporting. Managing the year-end consolidated tax provisioning process, including overseas subsidiaries. Preparation of current tax and deferred tax estimates for group consolidated accounts and UK statutory entities, dealing with audit queries. Preparation of tax notes for inclusion in financial statements for group consolidated accounts and UK statutory entities. Coordination of R&D claims. Assisting with the SAO sign off and supporting documentation. Assist with maintenance of transfer pricing documentation and records. Assisting with Country-by-Country reporting. Assisting with VAT and employer tax matters as required. Maintaining the Tax Risk Register and auditing of controls. Profile
Holding a relevant qualification e.g. ACCA, ATT, ACA, CTA. Corporate tax specialist: VAT and payroll taxes awareness preferable but not required. Strong analytical and organisational skills. Experience of liaising with HMRC. Experience of presenting complicated tax information clearly to senior managers. Strong interpersonal skills; able to build relationships with colleagues across the business (including finance, HR, and commercial) to foster tax awareness. Proactive, hands-on and motivated. Strong IT skills including Alphatax. Job Offer
