Due to continued growth, are seeking an experienced Tax and Trusts Manager to join, specialising in trust tax returns and personal tax returns for high-net-worth individuals. The Role: This firm are looking for a seasoned Tax and Trusts Manager with expertise in trust and personal tax services for high-net-worth clients. This role demands proficiency in personal tax, capital gains, and trust matters, with a proven ability to offer strategic advice and ensure tax compliance. In this role you will handle a range of matters including: Trust and Estate Tax Returns: Prepare and manage tax compliance for a diverse portfolio of trusts and estates. Personal Tax Filings: Accurately prepare and submit personal tax returns, ensuring full compliance with HMRC standards. HMRC Trust Registration: Utilize a solid understanding of the HMRC trust registration service. Strategic Tax Planning: Advise clients and trustees on tax planning strategies, optimising efficiency and minimizing liabilities. Client Collaboration: Liaise with clients, trustees, and third-party professionals to gather and confirm tax information. Legislative Expertise: Stay current with tax legislation and apply knowledge effectively to client needs. Client Support: Address complex tax questions and ensure timely, insightful communication. Cross-functional Collaboration: Partner with legal teams on tax aspects of private client matters and provide guidance to other team members. Compliance and Record-keeping: Ensure all filings meet deadlines and maintain records per regulatory requirements. Requirements: You must be an experienced Tax and Trusts Manager or gained experience in a similar role likely within the legal sector, focusing on personal and trust tax services ATT/CTA qualification (or equivalent) preferred, with STEP certification desirable. In-depth knowledge of UK tax laws, especially in personal and trust taxation. Excellent communication, client management skills, and a strong attention to detail.
