Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced instructor to deliver electrical engineering training in a dynamic and inclusive environment within the Royal Air Force's ground engineering profession. The successful candidate will play a vital role in shaping the future of Defence engineering.
This is a 37-hour per week position at the Defence College of Technical Training (DCTT).
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver training and lessons to military students.
Develop and produce lesson plans, supporting course materials, and integrate Literacy and Numeracy into lessons.
Participate in internal and external evaluation audits.
Ensure student conduct, punctuality, discipline, and dress standards meet required standards.
Conduct safety briefs and ensure compliance with fire, health, and safety precautions and evacuation procedures.

Person Specification:
A great communicator with the ability to explain complex ideas to different audiences.
Well-organised, proficient in time management, and excellent public speaking skills.
Proactive and reactive, assessing skills and knowledge within the group and determining necessary training.
Requirements:
Recognised experience in an electrical environment or recently qualified individuals.
Familiarity with electrical engineering management practices and trade policy is desirable.
Experience in delivering training is also desirable.
Role Specific Training:
Defence Trainer course (DTc) as applicable.
Successfully shadow TG5 General Technician Electrical (GTE) Training modules.
This post requires a highly motivated individual who can take initiative and influence training. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills and be able to positively influence and manage students.
Qualifications:
Candidates should have served an apprenticeship or relevant period of training and obtained a Level 3, or equivalent, engineering qualification.
Practical experience in a related field is essential.
