We welcome applications from all backgrounds and particularly from groups currently under-represented, including people with disabilities, those from minority ethnic communities or from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds. Bathgate Academy is a comprehensive non-denominational school serving a cluster of five primary schools, with a current roll of 1150 students, which is steadily rising due to housing developments in the area and increasing community confidence in the standard of education we provide. Our motivated staff, students, parents, carers, and the community we serve have worked hard to further improve all aspects of our school. We value inclusion and support a diverse range of young people, many of whom face significant learning barriers. Our staff teams work diligently to help our students realize their ambitions. This post is a great opportunity for a highly motivated, skilled, open-minded, and friendly person to join us and help secure positive futures for our young people. The successful candidate will have the necessary experience to advance the principles of Curriculum for Excellence, supporting our young people and the improvement agenda of the faculty, school, and authority. A relevant teaching qualification and registration with the General Teaching Council for Scotland is essential.
