The Role: As a Teacher of English, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and effective lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4. You will play a crucial role in developing students' literacy skills, encouraging a love for literature, and preparing them for their GCSE examinations. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the wider school community, participate in extracurricular activities, and support the school's ethos of continuous improvement. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality lessons that cater to the needs of all students. Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback to help them achieve their targets. Foster a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, curiosity, and a passion for learning. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement innovative teaching strategies. Participate in departmental meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities. What We Are Looking For: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with a specialism in English. Proven experience in teaching English at the secondary level, with a strong track record of student achievement. Excellent subject knowledge and a passion for English literature and language. Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and engage students. A commitment to continuous professional development and a willingness to contribute to the wider school community.
