Accelerate Teaching is delighted to partner with a thriving Secondary School in Bradford to seek a passionate and dedicated Teacher of English to join their esteemed English department. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced educator to inspire and nurture the next generation of learners, ensuring they develop a lifelong love for literature and language. About the Role: As a Teacher of English, you will play a pivotal role in the development of students' reading, writing, and analytical skills, preparing them for success both academically and in life. You will be responsible for delivering engaging and thought-provoking lessons that cater to a wide range of abilities, ensuring that every student reaches their full potential. Key Responsibilities: Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality English lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. Foster a positive learning environment that encourages curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking. Assess, monitor, and track student progress, providing constructive feedback to support ongoing improvement. Collaborate with colleagues to develop and share resources, ensuring a cohesive and comprehensive curriculum. Participate in departmental meetings, contributing to the development of the English curriculum and the overall success of the department. Engage with parents and carers, providing regular updates on student progress and addressing any concerns. Take an active role in the school community, participating in extracurricular activities and supporting school events. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and a degree in English or a related field. Proven experience teaching English at the secondary level, with a strong understanding of the national curriculum. A passion for English literature and language, coupled with the ability to inspire students of all abilities. Excellent classroom management skills and the ability to create a stimulating learning environment. Strong organisational and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
