Date of advert: Wednesday 20 November 2024 We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and inspiring Teacher of English who is passionate about learning and teaching in English at GCSE and Functional skills level 2. Experience of teaching ESOL is desirable but not essential. We have a passionate and experienced Maths and English Team at the College providing vital learning to our students. We are committed to the delivery of a consistent and high quality learning experience for our students. You will teach a range of students to develop their English skills and qualifications, liaise closely with curriculum teams to ensure that student progress is effective and timely, counsel students and maintain positive behaviours. Staff are involved in Curriculum development to meet the needs of changing demands and College planning. The successful candidate will have a minimum of grade C in GCSE Maths and English Language (or equivalent), hold or be willing to work towards and achieve, a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent, along with commitment to, and evidence of, CPD. Your own transport is essential, along with the ability to teach Functional Skills Level 2. Experience of teaching ESOL is desirable, although not essential. If you possess the ability to influence, persuade and inspire others, can demonstrate an ability to lead on developing, planning, delivery and evaluation of high quality, motivational and inclusive learning experiences, and can evidence an ability to motivate students and improve student satisfaction, then we would love to hear from you!
