Gosforth Group are a dynamic and diverse Multi Academy Trust – this means we have a clear energy and purpose where all students are valued equally, regardless of their background or ability. We are a growing multi-academy trust currently comprising of six academies, two of which opened in September 2021. Callerton Academy is an exciting and thriving new secondary school where staff are highly valued and invested in to be able to become exceptional practitioners. Being part of our growing school and supportive English department is ideal for candidates embarking in their first years of teaching as an ECT or for candidates who are looking to take on responsibility in the coming years.
As a school we are committed to providing the very best education for pupils from Year 7 to Year 11. For the first four years, we have been based in our excellent temporary site in Newcastle’s Graingertown. In September 2025, we will move to our brand-new site which will have capacity for 1200 students; this is located to the northwest of the city. See
