The contract is for a maternity cover, with both Early Career and Upper Pay Scale Teachers being considered for the role. Offers their students state-of-the-art facilities with the aims of serving others, growing together and living life to the full. Their most recent Ofsted inspection has seen them graded as ‘Good’, with inspectors noting that students feel safe in school and enjoy taking part in a range of enrichment activities. Teacher of English Duties and Responsibilities: Plan and deliver Key Stage 3 and GCSE English Language and Literature lessons, scaffolding lesson plans and schemes of work to meet the needs of all students. Inspire excellent attainment in English, by promoting high standards of teaching and learning. Encourage and support students' growth and development in reading, writing, and critical thinking. Foster and inspire students’ interest in English. Provider English Interventions as and when required, with specifically identified pupils. Teacher of English Minimum Requirements: Hold UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or QTLS. Hold a Degree in English at 2:2 or higher. Be able to provide teaching references that cover the last 2 years of employment. Placements will be accepted for ECTs. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. A passion for teaching English and a commitment to student success. Hold an Enhanced DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for a new one.
