on a permanent, full-time basis, working 37 hours a week. We are recruiting for a Media Tutor to join our education team at HMP Rye Hill. You will work with, and be supported by, our amazing team of dedicated professionals to plan and deliver high-quality Entry Level Media lessons (Television, Video, and Digital) to groups of up to 16 learners to develop their vocational skills. You will need patience, passion, and understanding in your approach which will in turn help them to secure future employment opportunities post-release. Our security team are on hand to ensure the lessons run smoothly. We always try to cater to a learner’s individual needs and ensure we create a positive learner experience. Time will be given to planning and your Local Education Manager is always on hand to provide support as and when needed. Delivery happens between Monday and Friday and weekends and evenings are strictly for rest and relaxation. To be successful in the role, you will need: A teaching qualification OR subject specialist qualification at Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) with a commitment to obtain the relevant outstanding Level 4 (Level 5 – new standards) qualification within a specified time scale (required) Hold at least a Level 2 qualification in Literacy and Numeracy Gain/hold and maintain a clean, enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
