Our department The Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering (CEE) is one of the largest and most successful civil engineering departments in Scotland. The department is ranked 1st in Scotland and 3rd in the UK in the Guardian Subject Rankings 2025. We have over 600 students, including 450 undergraduates, 100 taught postgraduates and almost 100 registered research students. We have a strong commitment to widening access and inclusion while maintaining academic quality and an outstanding student experience. The opportunity As a Teaching Assistant, you will design and deliver a range of established laboratory activities at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, including mechanics, structural mechanics, soil mechanics, hydraulics, and materials. You will liaise with academic staff to ensure delivery of teaching laboratory exercises consistent with the taught component of undergraduate and postgraduate modules. You will have experience in leading lab-based projects in the area of Civil Engineering.
