Name of Head Teacher: Wendy Yianni Salary: Spinal Point 2 (£23,656 plus LW £2,230 Pro rata) Hours: 11 hours per week/38 weeks of the year The governors are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and experienced teaching assistant who is caring and has drive and ambition. We are looking for someone who has a genuine passion for child development, early years education and learning through play. College Green School & Services is a modern open plan Nursery School with a Neighbourhood Nursery attached that provides education and care for Nursery age 2 to 4 year olds. We are a well-resourced nursery with a happy and friendly staff team and are located in a quiet residential area located close to Kensal Rise and Kensal Green stations. The Person: Successful applicants will be: A good communicator, both verbal and written Committed to Brent’s Equal Opportunities Policy Qualified in a Level 2 in childcare or Teaching assistant or the equivalent Previous experience of working with young children You will be required to work 38 weeks a year for 11 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 8 am – 9.15 am and 2.45 pm – 4.15 pm). The Post: The Teaching assistant will be expected to: Manage a breakfast club and after school club for 3 – 4 year olds. Provide breakfast in the morning and a snack in the afternoon in addition to age appropriate activities both indoors and outdoors. Support the creation of a stimulating learning environment: prepare and develop resources if necessary. Be a role model for a multi-disciplinary team. Be able to work on your own initiative and work with staff team under the guidance and supervision from the Leadership team.
