Teaching Assistant

to provide one-to-one support for a Year 5 pupil with dyslexia. This rewarding role offers the opportunity to work in a supportive and vibrant primary school located in Lewisham. Teaching Assistant Key Responsibilities: Provide 1:1 support for a Year 5 student with dyslexia, helping them with reading, writing and other areas of learning as needed. Use dyslexia-friendly strategies and resources to support literacy skills, such as phonics programs, visual aids, and multi-sensory techniques. Adapt and modify learning materials to suit the child's individual learning needs. Collaborate with the class teacher and SENCO to implement effective learning strategies. Foster a positive, inclusive, and encouraging learning environment. Teaching Assistant Qualifications and Experience: Experience working with children in a Primary and/or SEN Unit. Understanding of dyslexia and strategies to support children with specific learning difficulties. Ideal Teaching Assistant will: Be empathetic, patient, and passionate about supporting children's learning and development. Demonstrate excellent communication and organizational skills. Be proactive and adaptable in meeting the child's evolving needs as a Teaching Assistant. What We Offer: A welcoming and supportive school community.
