Competitive, based on experience About Us: We are working with a small and friendly primary school in Bermondsey, Southwark that is looking for a Teaching Assistant. The school is looking for a proactive and experienced Teaching Assistant to support SEN pupils in Year 1 and Year 5. The successful individual will need experience in supporting pupils with Autism and have a calm persona. Having a sporty background or an interest in sport is highly desirable. Key Responsibilities: Support the class teacher where required. Support two pupils on a 1:1 basis. Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment. Assist in planning and implementing age-appropriate activities. Observe and assess children's progress, providing feedback to teachers and parents. Provide feedback to pupils in relation to their progress and achievement. Requirements: Qualifications:
Teaching Assistant qualification or equivalent. Experience:
Previous experience working in a Primary School. Knowledge:
Understanding of Autism. Desirable:
