This Teaching Assistant role is focused on ensure the pupil is safeguarded and supported emotionally and physically. It would suit someone who can bring patience, clear communication, classroom awareness, and confidence supporting learners to the role.

Who the work supports

Start Date: September 2026. As a dedicated 1:1 LSA, your role will focus on helping the pupil stay safe, supported, and engaged throughout the school day.

Learning support involved

Ensure the pupil is safeguarded and supported emotionally and physically. Delivering personalised interventions to support emotional regulation and social skills. Reporting behaviour patterns, progress, and concerns accurately.

Education skills and requirements

• A patient, empathetic nature with the ability to build strong rapport.
• Enhanced Child Workforce DBS (on the Update Service or willingness to apply).

Job details

• Full-Time (Mon–Fri, Term Time Only).
• This is a full-time position based in a secondary school in Newcastle Upon Tyne ideal for someone passionate about inclusion, behaviour support, and making a real impact in a young.
• Pay: £95 – £105 per day.
• Additional detail: Holiday allowance.
