About the role Teaching Assistant Full time, Temporary/Permanent roles available Portsmouth Start date ASAP The School and Role An Alternative Provision school based in Portsmouth are currently seeking Teaching Assistants to start as soon as possible. The school caters for secondary age pupils with social, emotional, and mental health needs, as well as challenging behaviour. The successful SEMH Support Assistant will be required to work 1-1 or in small classes ranging from Year 7 to Year 11, assisting pupils academically as well as overcoming barriers to learning and supporting them emotionally. Requirements The desired Teaching Assistant will have; - Experience of working with primary and/or secondary school aged children - Experience of working with pupils with SEND - A passion for the progress of pupils - An ability to work as part of a team What we offer As a Teaching Assistant, part of our team, you benefit from: · Excellent daily rates paid using the PAYE system.
