Teaching Assistant (with SEN support) Location: Wakefield area Job Type: Full-time (long-term) Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience and qualifications Join my dedicated team at primary schools throughout the Wakefield area on a long-term basis, committed to providing an inclusive learning environment. I am seeking experienced Teaching Assistant's, including a focus on Special Educational Needs (SEN) to ensure the students receive the support they need to succeed. Day to Day of the role: Collaborate with the class teacher to plan and implement engaging lessons tailored to the needs of Key Stage One or Key Stage Two students. Provide one-on-one assistance to students with SEN, helping them to engage with the curriculum and achieve their potential. Adapt teaching materials to cater to individual learning requirements and styles. Promote a positive, inclusive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning and personal growth. Address behavioural and emotional challenges with sensitivity and effective strategies. Work in partnership with staff to develop and execute personalized learning plans for SEN students. Required Skills & Qualifications: Prior experience in a similar role, with a focus on supporting children with SEN. Demonstrable patience, empathy, and a proactive approach to student support. Strong ability to foster positive relationships with students and colleagues. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
