Data Services Team Leader A hands-on role leading & co-ordinating the day-to-day activities of a team of data engineers. Ensuring efficient delivery of TFSUK's curated data. Actively participating in the prioritisation of work, projects & pipeline management. Supporting and contributing to the development of team members and the function, to deliver first-class data solutions. A bit about the Data Services & BI Team:

An integral part of the company, the team manages TFSUK’s curated data. Supporting the business by providing data and BI services, including but not limited to; end-to-end management of TFSUK Data warehouse (ETL to delivery of reporting), provision of regular and ad hoc reporting, dashboarding, and serving as SME and business partner for BI and Data to support delivery of TFSUK’s strategy. This position could suit an individual who is looking to expand their people management skills and/or looking for a bigger role. Responsibilities: Working under the supervision of the Senior Manager – Data Services & BI, you will deliver TFSUK’s data warehouse, key projects, and reporting needs, responsible for the following: Line management of a team of experienced Data Engineers Workload management [changes / break fix / testing / releases] Work with Manager, BI Manager, and ‘Bus. Tech’ to prioritise work Develop high-quality data & data warehousing solutions Work with DPO & ISO to protect TFSUK/customers' data Ensure compliance with corporate standards / best practices Experience: Essential: SQL / Oracle ETL / Informatica Data Warehouse methodology Power BI Microsoft Office Suite Desirable: Financial Services or Motor Experience Consumer Duty (Highly desirable) Regulated industry People management experiences Additional data skills (Python / APIs) The Individual: To succeed in this role, you will need to display the following attributes/behaviours: Excellent communication skills Ability to work cross-functionally / across departments Ability to prioritise and adapt to changing business needs Agree, define, and work to scope Define and work to timelines Growth mindset and desire to work outside your comfort area Keen interest in new technologies Ability to translate business requirements into technical requirements Benefits: At Toyota Financial Services (TFS), it is more than just an externally benchmarked salary and bonus; we also offer: Hybrid working pattern: 2 days in the office and 3 days from a location of your choice.
