To be responsible for the operational management of a designated cluster of community nursing teams. To support the Clinical Manager in managing the service and its resources. To work in partnership with community teams and services to support the delivery of high standards of patient care. To be the principal point of contact for allocated GP Practices, local statutory, private and voluntary providers, carers, and service users in a designated area. To identify areas for potential improvement and to support the development of services in line with the requirements of the commissioning body.

To demonstrate leadership of the designated cluster of community nurses, taking an active role in the professional development of the workforce. To facilitate an environment where team members are supported to work and develop clinical practice. To work with the Clinical Manager to meet national, local, and service priorities as determined by the Annual Operating Plan, Service Level Agreements, and contract. To support the Clinical Manager to lead and manage change through a multi-skilled team approach, supporting the development of staff and services to meet identified gaps in the service and in line with Government policy.

To work collaboratively to meet the needs of service users in order to provide greater access, choice, and to enhance current service use. To proactively contribute to the delivery of the public health agenda.

Please note it is a requirement of The Newcastle upon Tyne Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust that all successful candidates who require a DBS for the post they have been offered pay for their DBS certificate. The method of payment is a salary deduction from your first month's pay.
